Face Smoother is a small utility specifically intended to perform basic editing changes to photographs. The application has a very straightforward interface. It is a pity, however, that its design leaves a lot to be desired. There are also limitations in terms of supported picture formats, as JPG and BMP are the only extensions you can open or save to.
The main feature of the tool lets you conceal skin imperfections, such as pimples, wrinkles, and spots, in a photograph. On the one hand, this is done quite easily with just a button click, because the program uses preset parameters to do this. On the other hand, it doesn’t let you control the final results. To make things worse, all the program does is to make the image blurred. Consequently, the results may not really look as you expected. If you want to achieve the opposite effect, you can use the tool to sharpen the image as well. Other features available are adjusting such parameters as brightness, contrast, and saturation as well as rotation and resizing a picture.
In general, what I would say in favor of this tool is that it is free and certainly very easy to use. However, you should bear in mind that it is too limited so don´t expect your pictures to look as if you had edited them with Photoshop or any other sophisticated picture editor.
